King Faisal and Dreams FC shared spoils in the first premier league game of the New Year.
Dreams Fc were presented with the first big chance of the game, Abel Manomey failed to beat goalkeeper Kaisan Yuisu in a 1 on 1 situation.
Kwadwo Frimpong gave King Faisal the lead in the 37th minute, he controlled a good through ball, made way into the 18-yard-box and calmly beat the goalkeeper.
Kwame Peprah should have doubled King Faisal’s lead at the start of the second half, he was nicely put on goal by Kwadwo Frimpong but he failed to hit the target.
King Faisal started the second half just like they finished the first and should have increased their tally, Wadudu Yakubu was gifted the ball by Solomon Agbasi, he went past the goalkeeper but failed to hit the target.
Dreams started to pill pressure on King Faisal and were finally rewarded in the 66th minute, a powerful shot from the edge of the box deflected off Wadudu Yakubu and went pass the goalkeeper.
Minutes later, King Faisal were reduced to 10 men, Kaisan Yuisu was shown a straight red.
King Faisal nearly got the winner in the dying minutes of the game, a shot from Wadudu Yakubu at the edge of the box as saved by Solomon Agbasi. A rebound from Kwame Peprah was cleared off the line for Jalilu.
The game ended 1-1. Kwame Peprah was named Nasco man of the match.
King Faisal now sit 15th on the league table with 5 points, whiles Dreams sit 14th with 6 points.
