Sonnie Badu's former manager disappointed in Wendy Shay's performance at UTV
Winfred Daniel Nii Adjaye, former boss of the Ghanaian gospel singer, Sonnie Badu, described Wendy Shay's performance on UTV on January 1, 2020 as disappointing.
During UTV's Day with the Stars show on Friday, January 1, 2021, Wendy Shay performed a few of her hit tracks, including 'Cut it',' Stevie Wonder' and 'Masakra'.
Watching UTV, I think there is something wrong with Wendy Shay. She is high on something I cannot tell. Bad performance,” he wrote on Facebook.
The Ruftown Records signee, dressed in a pair of black biker shorts, a cold shoulder crop top, a pair of white boots and sunglasses, climbed the stage alongside the Safoa Music Team.
But former boss Sonnie Badu, who seems to have keenly observed the success of Wendy Shay, said it was saddled with a lot of flaws.
Several other performances from Kuami Eugene, Mr Drew, Becca, YaaYaa, E-shun, X-doe, Nero-X, Brother Sammy and so on were witnessed in the show.
The festival, held on the first day of every New Year, brings celebrities together to either host or perform on different television station segments.
