The Al-Banat Preparatory school has officially changed its name to “Ibaadullahi Prep/JHS” at the ended 16th graduation ceremony on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the school’s premises. The school admitted only females since it began operation but years later, it included males hence the change of name.
The event was themed “Secular And Arabic Education, the Best Investment for Parents” and chaired by the Guidance and Counseling coordinator of Ayawaso North Municipal Education Directorate, Hon Mohammed Masawudu who was a former member of parliament for Pru West (Prang).
Hon. Mohammed Masawudu who doubled as the speaker encouraged parents to invest in the education of their wards in both secular and Arabic education for their benefit on earth and the hereafter. He pointed the importance of both secular and Arabic education to parents, the community and the country at large.
The event witnessed a lot of performances by students of the school.
Students who excelled during the academic year were awarded. Some teachers were also awarded for their hard work and commitments.
The reward of teachers fell under categories such as overall best teacher, best head of department, hard-working teacher and best Arabic teacher.
Parents were not left out as three were honoured with citations for helping teachers during the covid -19 school break.
Some board of directors were also honoured for their continuous support for the development of the school.
The headmaster, Hadi Badayele Abdullah, described the academic year as a very difficult task for both teachers and the administration due to covid-19 and lockdown of schools for one and half years and the possibility of parents not paying fees due to the shutdown.
Among all, 65 students graduated in with twenty 21, 20 and 24 from JHS, primary and the nursery respectively.
