Suspended PNC Secretary Arrested Over Breaking Into Party Office
The suspended General Secretary of the Peoples National Congress (PNC), Janet Nabla has been arrested by the Nima police for breaking into the party headquarters on Sunday 1st May 2022.
The internal wrangling within the party since last year, has led to the party’s headquarters being locked up by the police as two factions of the PNC fight over who can have access to the building.
It took the intervention of personnel from the Nima Police station to restore calm at the Abavana Junction headquarters in Accra and hence closed down the office and took the keys.
The PNC suspended General Secretary, Janet Nabla, with her group went to the police commander, fed him with lies that they have won the court case and can have access to the headquarters and took the keys.
On Sunday 1st May, 2022, Janet Nabla then broke into the headquarters and scattered the offices of the 2020 flagbearer of the PNC, David Apasera, the newly appointed general secretary, Prince Agyemang Duah, the national chairman of PNC, Moses Danibaah and others.
Currently Janet Nabla is in the custody of Nima Police for further investigations into the incident.
